Neuropsychology and Eating Disorders Special Interest Group

Neuropsychology can provide a better understanding of the mechanisms of eating disorders. Experimental work can provide clarity in prognoses and maintaining factors as well as help planning intervention strategies.

We accept that neuropsychology can offer much to the development of scanning paradigms and to the interpration of the scanning data. Discussion groups have demonstrated the need to share neuropsychological experiences and international expertise at future meetings as well as providing the opportunity to invite experts in neuropsychology who are working in different areas of psychiatry and psychology.
